Hour 1 – Dr Nancy Bromberg DVM is a  veterinary specialist in Ophthalmology at the University of Pennsylvania. She joins Jeff  because starting April 1st, registration will begin for the 5th Annual ACVO/Merial National Service Dog Eye Exam event.  This non-profit event provides free eye examinations to qualified service dogs across the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico.  Last year, more than 4,000 service dogs were examined and we’re hoping to examine even more this year.  The top 5 tips on keeping all animals’ eyes healthy.  She also discusses the most common eye problems for pets and what happens during an eye examination. Hour 2 – Ever heard of PEE HAPPY? Well Lucy Cobos and Annie Cole join Jeff to tell you all about it! Pee Happy™ was started by volunteers for animal welfare groups that met at a farm in Dedham, MA called Shultz’s Guest House. The farm is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that houses homeless dogs while they wait for adoption. The Pee Happy merchandise provides financial assistance for the care of these dogs in transition. 100% of company profits is donated to help cover their expenses while they stay at the farm. They are committed to finding these dogs loving and permanent homes.
