She joins Jeff  because starting April 1st, registration will begin for the 5th Annual ACVO/Merial National Service Dog Eye Exam event.  This non-profit event provides free eye examinations to qualified service dogs across the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico.  Last year, more than 4,000 service dogs were examined and we’re hoping to examine even more this year.  The top 5 tips on keeping all animals’ eyes healthy.  She also discusses the most common eye problems for pets and what happens during an eye examination. Hour 2 – Ever heard of PEE HAPPY? Well Lucy Cobos and Annie Cole join Jeff to tell you all about it! Pee Happy™ was started by volunteers for animal welfare groups that met at a farm in Dedham, MA called Shultz’s Guest House. The farm is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that houses homeless dogs while they wait for adoption. The Pee Happy merchandise provides financial assistance for the care of these dogs in transition. 100% of company profits is donated to help cover their expenses while they stay at the farm. They are committed to finding these dogs loving and permanent homes. With the economy the way it is many people are trying to start their own businesses. Rescue of the week is Paws For Life in Michigan and Courtney Sanders stops by to talk about the pets they are saving and what they can do for abandoned pets. Tick season is right around the corner and Jeff shares a tip from Dr. Nancy Kay author of “Speaking For Spot” on how to remove them from your pet. Also News and announcements…rabies vaccine pellets are working to reduce the number of cases they are seeing in NY so this will be spreading to more states.

I was lucky enough to have Nick Stein give me a call for an interview to discuss the tragic murder of David Hartley and the pain that his family and his wife Tiffany is going through. Nick also talks about the situation with our border patrol and the great work these brave Americans are doing keeping watch on this dangerous situation on our border.
