We have had many guests on the show and have spoken to many Pet Experts along the way, but few wear as many hats or “collars” as she puts it, as Arden Moore. Arden hosts her own show “Oh Behave!” on Pet Life Radio, she has authored 20 books on pet topics, she is a contributing writer for popular pet, golf, and human health magazines, editor of Catnip magazine, and is a popular professional speaker around the country. Arden has been a journalist, working with “Marley and Me’s” John Grogan at the Florida Sun Sentinal during the years that he actually had Marley. RESCUE SHELTER OF THE WEEK

We have talked to many rescue shelters around the country in many states this past year so I thought it would be a good idea to introduce a few of the great rescue shelters we have right here in Ohio! Some of these organizations are relatively young but others like the Stark County Humane Society can trace their roots to the 1800’s helping keep watch on horses pulling trolleys for the city transportation before busses and subways! Lou Criswell, Director of the Stark County Hamen Society joins us to talk about the history and current work they are doing right here in Ohio to help find homes for deserving pets!

Me and My Buddy Butch will be appearing at the Stark County 2009 MUTT STRUT signing books, participating in the walk, and having a few give aways so brush up on your Dog knowledge for a prize!

STARK COUNTY HUMANE SOCIETY HOSTING “MUTT STRUT” 2009- Join us for a dog-gone fun day! at Hoover Park, 1901 E. Maple St., North Canton, Ohio on Sunday, September 27th. The Mutt Strut is a 2-mile casual walk for dogs and their families. Registration will begin at noon. Walk will start at 2:00 pm.
